the very top of the lid, (the piece you push to open/close) came off during the first use. I was able to reinstall it on the cup. aside from that, all is great.

What a mug! Nails every feature a coffee nerd could want. Lots of pieces to wash, but that's the cost to pay for the great features. Replaced my Keepcup. Would recommend to anyone.

Was really excited to try this new travel mug out. Tbh it keeps coffee warm about the same as if it were in a normal mug. Within 2 hours it's stone cold. Bit disappointed but we live and learn.

Does not taint tea
I can’t stand the tainted taste from stainless steel, plastic or silicone. I’ve tried all sorts of cups including another expensive porcelain lined but still got an odd flavour. This bru cup is superb I don’t drink through lid to avoid any chance of plastic taste but the cup is nice to drink from and very easy to clean.
Would definitely buy again.

For the first six weeks, this was a 4-star mug. I loved the ceramic lining, drinking from the lid, and that it was leak-proof. The only time it would leak at all is when there was a tiny bit of liquid still in between the cup and the drinking area.
What kept it from being a 5-star mug is the click caused by opening and closing the lid mechanism was exceptionally loud and distracting in an office setting.
What turned it into a 1-star mug is the lid mechanism no longer works. I have taken very good care of it and been gentle. After ~6 weeks, when you press down, it no longer opens and closes. Nothing broke, it just stopped working. So now it's basically useless and I'm back to using whatever Costco sells. That's very disappointing because I really wanted to love this mug.

I love my Bru thermos. It kept my tea warm for 3 hours while I traveled to and ran a half marathon. It was the best post race treat! And then it saw me to London for a three day conference. Totally leak proof in my tote despite being shoogled around in a bicycle basket, joining me on sprints to the train and otherwise schlepping about. Unfortunately I then left it under my seat at a seminar. Will be buying another one. I hope the person that picked mine up enjoys it too!

Two problems. First, the thermal isolation is quite bad, hot water becomes cold within 3-4 hours. Second, after 2 weeks of using the it is impossible to disassemble the lid, there's some issue with the machanic design.
Overall I like the ceramic coating and the clip-open lid, it is also quite leak proof.

The bru cup fits my cup holder lots better than my hydro flask and has better capacity than my battered old 270dgree cup with the same capability of drinking from anywhere around the rim, much safer when driving my 4x4, or my truck, early days to judge on durability but it's used every day at work so no better testing ground than trucking into construction sites and the occasional offroad excursion.

I bought two mugs on the kickstarter campaign and it turned out there were production issues with the white. I waited an additional couple months in the hopes they would come in, but the mugs were too problematic at the time. I was informed the white was no longer an option.
Fast forward 1.5 years, and the white mugs are now available. They’re a little more expensive than I would normally spend on a coffee mug, but the quality and ability to seal a beverage without spilling is among the best I’ve ever seen. I’ve only had one other mug that sealed as well. I bought it at Starbucks over 15 years ago and all the seals are worn out and not replaceable.
The quality and customer service has always been superb. I will continue to shop for more mugs/products bru-cups.

I was happily using the mug for two weeks until I noticed that the paint around the rim of the mug has already started to peel.
As I've followed all the care instructions, and only hand washed I'm quite surprised this has happened.
The only thing that springs to mind is that I brew with an Aeropress, something that the mug is advertised to be compatible with.
I like to drink without the lid whilst at my desk (avoids a plastic taste) and can no longer do so without catching my lip on the peeling paint, and potentially swallowing it.
Sad to say I cannot recommend this mug, especially for Aeropress users.

I got the travel cup for my wife as she loves tea and prefers it in a china cup. When she takes our daughter to her dance class, a china cup is not practical so I looked for a travel alternative. I already had as 12oz Black Travel Mug as my daily mug, and wanted a larger one for travelling with. The white one should be easier to find should it roll under a seat. It will also be easier to locate in a cup holder in a dark van at night. The best feature is that it is spill proof. If it falls over on a bus desk there will not be a mess to clean up.

I have spent AGES searching for a really great travel mug that had the features I needed.
Surprisingly, finding a ceramic lined, leakproof, Aeropress compatible mug that fit in my cup holder was ridiculously hard. This is the only mug I found that ticks all these boxes, and I’m so glad I did find it as it’s great.
It’s also really easy to clean, as the lid disassembles in to three parts so there isn’t any gross old coffee stuck in the lid.
I got the 12oz one as it is a good allrounder size, but will definitely be ordering an 8oz and 16oz one in the future!

I'm really happy with this mug. My previous contigo luxe used to leak through the screw thread. This doesn't leak at all as long as I remember to seal it. And drinks taste so much better due to the ceramic lining.

I really like the cup, its a decent cup and build quality and robust mechanisms. Easy to clean tok etc. if i had to oick something, a tiny observation is that where the lid meets the cup, the ceramic coating is a little rough, and with the green is noticeable. My other thing (personal to me) i can never tell 100% if the cup is closed or not.

I love the design of this cup and I think my gift recipient will too. The only suggestions I'd offer are a more textured surface on the outside to help with grip when screwing/unscrewing the mug, and a 16-oz size option as that is more popular here in the USA.
